چکیده
Purpose: Documented the macular area changes regarding thickness and vascularity on an amblyopic patient by optical coherence tomography angiograph. Patients methods: A case control observational study. AllPatients were attended to Ain shams university clinic of Ophthalmology Department Re- search Institute in period between October 2020 May 2021.the study included 40 patients, age 7-18y, with unilateral eye divided into 4 groups each group 10 strabismus, anisometropia, sensory deprivation compared The patients excluded history prematurity, trauma, neurologic or systemic disease, uncooperative eccentric fixation, refractive errors more than 6 Diopters. investigated documented byoptical (OCT) angiograph (OCTA). Results: central (1mm) macula all non-significant except groupthere was a significant increase p -value 0.033.The FAZ area, superficial capillary plexus (SCP) deep (DCP), are not statistically (p-value 0.0412 & 0.154) respectively. Conclusion: Thestudy helps understanding microvasculature OCT OCTA that may play role pathophysiology management different types pediatric patient.

Correlation between Visual Acuity and Optical Coherence Tomography-Measured Retinal Thickness in Diabetic Macular Edema
Background and Objective: Diabetic macular edema (DME) is one of the common complications of diabetes which significantly accounts for preventable visual impairment and blindness. Central macular thickness (CMT) is a feature found in DME patients. This study aims to determine the relationship between optical coherence tomography (OCT)-measured CMT and visual acuity (VA) in patients with DME bef...
متن کاملOptical Coherence Tomography Angiography
Optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) is a noninvasive approach that can visualize blood vessels down to the capillary level. With the advent of high-speed OCT and efficient algorithms, practical OCTA of ocular circulation is now available to ophthalmologists. Clinical investigations that used OCTA have increased exponentially in the past few years. This review will cover the history ...
متن کاملOptical coherence tomography angiography
Optical coherence tomography (OCT) was one of the biggest advances in ophthalmic imaging. Building on that platform, OCT angiography (OCTA) provides depth resolved images of blood flow in the retina and choroid with levels of detail far exceeding that obtained with older forms of imaging. This new modality is challenging because of the need for new equipment and processing techniques, current l...
متن کاملComparison of Choroidal Thickness in Psoriasis and Control Groups Using Optical Coherence Tomography
Background and Objective: One of the most common extracutaneous complications in psoriasis patients is ocular complications, which is controversial concerning its effect on choroidal thickness. This study aimed to compare the psoriasis patients with healthy individuals in terms of the thickness of the choroidal layer using the optical coherence tomography technique. Materials and Methods: In t...
متن کاملComparison of Macular Thickness in Diabetic Macular Edema Using Spectral-Domain Optical Coherence Tomography and Time-Domain Optical Coherence Tomography
Purpose. To compare the macular thicknesses in diabetic macular edema (DME) measured with spectral-domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT) and time-domain (TD) OCT. Patients and Methods. The average macular thicknesses of 50 eyes of 29 patients with DME were measured using SD-OCT and TD-OCT. Results. The mean macular thicknesses measured with TD-OCT and SD-OCT were 401.5 ± 117.8 μm (mean ±...
